Vegetarian Spinach Lasagna:

A friend at work shared her spinach mushroom lasagna with me and I liked it so much, I had to try making it on my own. The results weren’t that great but eatable 🙂 I was telling my italian american friend and she was very unimpressed that the recipe called for ‘oven ready lasagna sheets’..Oh well, for authentic italian food; there’s always Roma or at least little Italy.

So here’s the recipe. Try it out.
Spinach Mushroom Lasagna
5 step vegetarian Lasagna

Tre-leche Cake (3 milk cake)

A friend of mine shared this delicious south american cake recipe. You can add a kick to it by mixing in a few drops of rum (totally optional).  I am going to try this out on May birthday friends..uh oh!
Tip: Remember to let it sit in the fridge overnight for the cake to soak up all of the yummy milk topping juices. this is truly the best way to do it or you’ll have cake with a top layer of milk topping. it’s much better to have the milk topping soaked all the way through.

Blueberry buttermilk ice cream:

I saw this interesting recipe on grist.org. It looks really simple and easy to make..I love blueberries and I love ice cream, so I am sure this will be wonderful too. Maybe someone can try it and let me know how it turned out.  Meanwhile, I’ll keep exploring local ice cream joints in the neighborhood 🙂
